October 2009 First District Board Meeting: Manhattan November 15, 2009 Annual Club Planning Reports due for all clubs to District Sec/Treas from Lt Governors. December 31, 2009 First Quarter CPA Book delivered. Last chance to earn first quarter bonuses. CRA drops must be received by OI to reduce next qtr dues. January 1, 2009 Optimist International dues are due; Kansas District Dues are due . January 10, 2009 A&A first quarter report due January 31, 2009 (if 501c3) Donation Acknowledgement Letters should have been sent to all who donated gifts during the previous Jan-Dec calendar year. February 1, 2009 IRS form 990 - Prepare and file with IRS before February 15th, if applicable (gross handling of money exceeded $25,000[includes gross bingo, all product sales, donations received, etc.] in Optimist year 2007-2008); if less than $25,000.00, e-file your report. February 7, 2009 Western Region Meeting: Salina February 21, 2009 Eastern Region Meeting: Ottawa February 28, 2008 Club Essay Winners must be delivered to District Chair. Must include properly typed copy of the essay, completed District entry form, and a copy of the winner's birth certificate (no substitutes). March 1, 2008 Form Nominating Committee for club officer election to be held in April. March ??, 2009 Club Oratory Contest Deadline. Copy of Speech, Copy of Birth Certificate, and completed Zone entry form to Zone Contest Chair by March ??. March 15, 2009 Deadline to file Annual Report and pay Privilege Fee to Kansas Secretary of State to renew Kansas Corporation status as non-profit corporation. (Oct-Sep fiscal year). Can be done on-line. March ??, 2009 Zone Oratory Contest Deadline. Copy of Speech, Copy of Birth Certificate, and completed Regional entry form to Regional Contest Chair by March ??. March 31, 2009 Second Quarter CPA Book delivered. Last day for OI to record CRA drops before assessing dues. April 1, 2008
