THE KANSAS DISTRICT WANTS YOU!  

     YES, the Kansas District wants and needs YOU!  The Candidate Qualifications Committee is looking for a few good women and men to serve the Kansas District for the 2008-2009 year.  You could be that person.

 The District is looking for candidates for the office of Lt. Governor and Governor-Elect.

     To serve as Lt. Governor, you must have held or currently holding the office of president of an Optimist Club.

      To serve as Governor-Elect, you shall have served a full term as president of an Optimist Club before assuming the office of Governor-Elect.

      Lt. Governor’s will be elected at the third quarter District Meeting.  The Kansas District provides funds to help Lt. Governor Elect’s to attend the International Convention!  The Governor-Elect will be elected at the District Convention in August.

      All you need to do is send a personal resume, including your club and District involvement.  The deadline for Lt. Governor candidates is April 1, 2008.  The deadline for Governor-Elect candidates is July 1, 2008.  Besides your resume, you will need to have your club send a letter placing your name in nomination.  Mail the information to:
