The Kansas District (state) Championship Tournament will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2008.  The District (State) Championship Tournament for 14-18 year old boys will be held at the Salina Elk’s Country Club, 1800 S Marymount Rd, Salina, Kansas.  The Kansas District (state) Championship Tournament for all girls and the 10-13 year old boys will be held at the Salina Municipal Golf Course, 2500 E. Crawford Ave.  All interested golfers should submit their applications ASAP but not later than June 7, 2008.  Early submission of applications is recommended.  For the 14-18 year old golfers an entry fee of $50 and the entry form, properly signed by both the applicant and his or her parent/guardian, are required.  A golfer in the 10-13 age group must submit an entry fee of $30 and the entry form, properly signed by both the applicant and his or her parent/guardian.  Pairings and tee time information will be available by June 10^th. Tee times will begin at approximately 8 a.m. at Salina Elks CC and at approximately 11:00 a.m. at Salina Municipal GC.

              The Kansas District will sponsor eligible first place boy and girl winners from the 12-18 year old age groups by paying their Florida registration, including housing, and reimbursing airfare up to $250.  Incidental expenses will be the responsibility of the golfers.  Other qualified golfers may go to Florida by paying their own way or getting sponsorships through local sponsors.
